God is born of an inherent necessity in the majority of the human race to believe that we are not mere accidents of evolution and that our being here has some purpose; most men need faith to ward off the fear that we are only another link in a mechanistic chain of evolution.

...n' a few still don't realize what their purpose is... even when it's apparently clear... but too fearful to be accepted.

p.s. was wonderin... how often do you use "maybe"?

...i use it a lot.

I beg to differ here ... I believe that there is a God... that He loves us ... if I didn't, I'd have ended my life a long time ago ...
(... I believe that a suicide would only put me into an eternal hell)

But, yes, its very easy to believe that there is no God ... that we have some purpose, and we are not merely freaks of evolution ...

anyways, the world sucks so bad ... that its only natural to not believe in the existence of God ... as no one seems to be in control of this messed up place ...

Everyone is entitled to their beliefs ... and we differ here ... but that doesn't really make any difference, eh? ... :)
