Silences scream so loudly sometimes
yours touched me most of all.

And still I watched as you regressed
Into a mockeried babyhood
In silence.

And still I watched as they fed you
Through drip tubes and knocked out your teeth
In silence.

And still I watched as they bore you home
Dressed in flowers and crimson streaks
In silence.

And quietly crying, watched you leave
On that final journey
From whence, none return.
As you left, in silence.
